Elements and Performance Criteria
- Determine job requirements
- Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
- Identify job requirements from specifications, drawings, job sheets or work instructions
- Confirm requirements through consultation with a suitably qualified supervisor or engineer
- Monitor quality of welded products
- Report non-conforming welds and initiate corrective action according to SOPs
- Use pre-set gauges to monitor quality of product
- Initiate testing when required
- Undertake procedures for reporting
- Prepare reports as required
